Mouse Fibromodulin/FMOD ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit uses a double-antibody format for the precise measurement of fibromodulin (FMOD) in mouse samples. It is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a colorimetric detection method, a measuring range of 1.563–100 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 0.938 pg/mL. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Linearity has been established across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma matrices. At dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 (n = 5), serum recovery falls within 94–105%, 84–98% and 81–99%, EDTA plasma within 89–100%, 82–100% and 80–90%, and heparin plasma within 90–102%, 84–101% and 87–98%. Spiked recovery (n = 5) ranges from 91–103% (average 96%) for serum, 90–105% (average 98%) for EDTA plasma, and 85–101% (average 94%) for heparin plasma.

The workflow includes reagent and TMB equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution is added. Fibromodulin is a key regulator of collagen fibrillogenesis and extracellular matrix organisation, contributing to tissue repair and connective tissue maintenance, and its dysregulation has been associated with arthritis, cardiovascular disorders and cancer, supporting its use as a biomarker for disease research and therapeutic development.
