Mouse Fibroblast growth factor 21 (Fgf21) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21), applicable to serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant mouse FGF21 and is supplied for research use only.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6–1000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 7.8 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.2% and inter-assay CV is 6.9%. Spike-and-recovery averaged 97% (range 91–103%) in serum and 99% (range 93–105%) in plasma. Linearity was demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

FGF21 is a secreted signalling protein involved in metabolic homeostasis, glucose and lipid metabolism, insulin sensitivity and energy balance, and dysregulation of FGF21 has been linked to obesity, diabetes and fatty liver disease. The associated UniProt entry is Q9JJN1, with a reported molecular weight of 23,237 Da.
