Mouse Fibroblast growth factor 15 (Fgf15) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Fibroblast growth factor 15 (FGF15/FGF-15) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. FGF15 is described as a key growth factor involved in regulating bile acid synthesis, metabolism and energy homeostasis, and its dysregulation has been implicated in metabolic disorders, liver diseases and gastrointestinal conditions, making it a valuable biomarker for research into these conditions and potential therapeutic interventions.

The assay is a colorimetric ELISA read at 450 nm, with a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.4 pg/mL. Reported precision is an intra-assay CV of 6.8% and an inter-assay CV of 9.1%. Linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 was 107-117% to 110-120% for serum, 96-108% to 100-109% for EDTA plasma, and 96-105% to 112-122% for heparin plasma (n=5). Average recovery was 92% (range 86-98%) for serum and 94% (range 88-100%) for plasma. The kit specifically recognises natural and recombinant mouse FGF15 (UniProt O35622), a secreted signal-transduction protein of 25,236 Da that contributes to the suppression of bile acid biosynthesis through down-regulation of CYP7A1 expression and interacts with MALRD1.
