Mouse Fibroblast Growth Factor 13 (FGF13) ELISA Kit

This Mouse FGF13 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for research use only and targets the intracellular fibroblast growth factor 13 (FGF13), also known as FGFH2, enabling quantitative measurement in mouse serum, plasma, and biological fluids. The kit uses a sandwich ELISA format on a 96-well microplate with colorimetric detection.

FGF13 is a non-secreted, cytosolic member of the FGF family most abundantly expressed in developing and adult neurons of the mouse brain, where it regulates microtubule stability, neuronal migration, and intrinsic excitability. Mouse models of FGF13 deficiency have been linked to cortical lamination defects, hippocampal dysfunction, and seizure susceptibility, making this assay useful for neuroscience research, neurodevelopmental disorder studies, and investigation of pain signaling pathways.

The assay is supplied with a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standards, biotinylated detection antibody, and streptavidin-HRP reagents. Validation studies show no significant cross-reactivity with related mouse FGF family members such as FGF1, FGF2, FGF8, or FGF22. Unopened kit components should be stored refrigerated at 2–8°C and the microplate kept protected from light, while reconstituted standards are aliquoted and frozen for repeated use across freeze-thaw cycles.
