Description

A high-quality Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse FGF1 (FGF acidic). The kit is reactive with mouse samples and validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, employing a double-antibody sandwich format. The assay has a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL, with components intended for storage at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Linearity for serum (n = 5) spans 89–103% at 1:2, 89–100% at 1:4 and 93–104% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n = 5) shows 82–97%, 90–101% and 86–94%; heparin plasma (n = 5) shows 80–96%, 87–100% and 82–98%. Spike-and-recovery performance yields 96% average for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma and 98% for heparin plasma. FGF1, also known as FGF acidic, participates in cellular processes including cell growth, development, wound healing, angiogenesis, tissue repair and regeneration, making it a relevant biomarker for cardiovascular and oncology research.

The six-step protocol comprises reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and stop reaction with absorbance measured at 450 nm. Provided kit components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled antibody (100X), HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC, 100X), TMB substrate, sample, antibody and SABC dilution buffers, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealer and a technical manual. The associated Uniprot identifier is P61148.
