Mouse FGF basic/FGF2/Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the precise measurement of fibroblast growth factor (FGF) levels in mouse samples, with reactivity specific to mouse. It uses a double antibody sandwich format and is suitable for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. FGF Basic, also known as FGF2, is a key growth factor involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and tissue regeneration, and dysregulation of FGF signaling has been linked to developmental disorders, cancer, and other diseases.

The kit offers a sensitivity of 7.5 pg/mL and a detection range of 12.5-800 pg/mL. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilution ratios of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8, with serum showing 86-99% / 88-104% / 90-104%, EDTA plasma showing 83-100% / 85-98% / 82-95%, and heparin plasma showing 88-99% / 81-100% / 80-95%. Spike-and-recovery performance showed average recoveries of 92% in serum, 94% in EDTA plasma, and 95% in heparin plasma. Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, incubating standards and samples at 37°C for 90 minutes, binding the biotin-labeled detection antibody at 37°C for 60 minutes, adding HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes, developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
