Mouse Ferritin heavy chain (Fth1) ELISA Kit

The assay recognises natural and recombinant mouse Ferritin heavy chain, with a detection range of 3.12-200ng/mL and a sensitivity of 1.6ng/mL. Reported precision values include an intra-assay CV of 5.4% and an inter-assay CV of 7.8%.

Ferritin heavy chain is a key protein that stores iron in cells in a soluble, non-toxic, readily available form, playing a crucial role in iron metabolism and homeostasis. The protein exhibits ferroxidase activity, taking up iron in the ferrous form and depositing it as ferric hydroxides after oxidation, and also mediates iron uptake in capsule cells of the developing kidney.
