Mouse Fermitin family homolog 2 (Fermt2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Fermitin family homolog 2 (FERMT2), also known as Kindlin-2 and Pleckstrin homology domain-containing family C member 1 (Plekhc1). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with mouse samples, showing specificity for natural and recombinant mouse FERMT2.

According to the manufacturer, the kit provides a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.2 pg/mL. FERMT2 is described as a scaffolding protein that enhances integrin activation mediated by TLN1 and/or TLN2 and binds to membranes enriched in phosphoinositides. It participates in connecting extracellular matrix adhesion sites to the actin cytoskeleton, supports integrin-mediated cell adhesion and cell spreading, and contributes to focal adhesion assembly. The protein also functions in the TGFB1 and integrin signaling pathways and stabilizes active CTNNB1, with a described role in Wnt signaling. Dysregulation of FERMT2 has been associated with cancer, inflammatory disorders, and cardiovascular diseases, making the kit applicable to research in those areas. The kit has been validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.
