Mouse Fermitin family homolog 1 (Fermt1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of mouse Fermitin family homolog 1 (Fermt1), also known as Kindlin-1. The kit is validated for use with serum and plasma, and is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Fermt1 (UniProt P59113).

The assay has a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.21 pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 8.4% and an inter-assay CV of 10.3%. Recovery in serum averages 91% (range 85-97%) and in plasma averages 93% (range 87-99%). Linearity in serum ranges from 99-108% at a 1:2 dilution to 81-94% at 1:16, with EDTA plasma ranging from 97-117% to 88-98% and heparin plasma ranging from 90-112% to 97-107% across the same dilutions.

Fermt1 is a cytoskeletal protein involved in cell adhesion that contributes to integrin activation. It is required for normal keratinocyte proliferation, normal polarization of basal keratinocytes in skin, normal cell shape, normal adhesion of keratinocytes to fibronectin and laminin, and normal keratinocyte migration to wound sites. The protein localizes to the cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, cell junctions, focal adhesions, and ruffle membranes, and belongs to the kindlin family. For research use only.
