From Assay Genie, this Mouse FBN/Fibrillin-1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA developed for the precise measurement of fibrillin 1 levels in mouse samples. It uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection, and is intended for research on connective tissue biology. Fibrillin 1 is a vital structural component of connective tissues, contributing to tissue elasticity, and its dysregulation has been linked to conditions including Marfan syndrome.

The kit offers a sensitivity of 4.688 pg/mL and a working range of 7.813–500 pg/mL. It is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported recovery values are 83–104% for serum, 85–101% for EDTA plasma, and 88–104% for heparin plasma, with linearity demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions across these matrices. Storage is at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The protocol uses a pre-coated plate: primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin for 30 minutes, and TMB substrate developed in the dark for 10–20 minutes, with absorbance measured at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
