Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Factor XI (F11) levels in mouse samples, using a double antibody sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection. The assay has a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and a working range of 3.125–200 ng/mL. It is intended for use with mouse serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and the kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Factor XI, also known as plasma thromboplastin antecedent (synonyms: F11, FXI, PTA), is described as a key component of the blood coagulation pathway. Research using this kit falls within the cardiovascular research area, supporting studies of thrombosis, hemostasis, and related conditions. Validation data show linearity for EDTA plasma (n=5) of 85–99%, 84–97%, and 85–98% at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions respectively, and for heparin plasma (n=5) of 83–100%, 81–90%, and 80–92%. Recovery ranges are 89–104% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma and 86–100% (average 93%) for heparin plasma.

The assay follows a six-step protocol: reagent and plate preparation; primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes; biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes; HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes; TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes; and stop reaction with absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
