Description

Designed for the accurate detection of estrogen receptor alpha (ER alpha/NR3A1) in mouse samples, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric readout. The assay supports research into the role of estrogen receptor alpha in regulating estrogen-driven processes such as growth, reproduction, and metabolism, and is relevant to studies of breast cancer, osteoporosis, and cardiovascular disease in mouse models.

The kit has a reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measurable range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. It is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions (n=5) is reported as 88–97%, 83–101%, and 80–96% for serum; 89–104%, 92–95%, and 80–100% for EDTA plasma; and 86–101%, 83–100%, and 80–95% for heparin plasma.

Recovery is reported at 89–101% (average 94%) for serum, 86–105% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma, and 85–105% (average 97%) for heparin plasma. The protocol follows a standard sandwich ELISA workflow, with primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance read at 450 nm after stop solution is added.
