Mouse Epithelial cell adhesion molecule (Epcam) ELISA Kit

Detection is carried out by an ELISA-based, colorimetric method [C0][S1], and the kit is reported to cover a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.176 ng/mL [S1].

EpCAM is described as a single-pass type I membrane protein of the EPCAM family that may act as a physical homophilic interaction molecule between intestinal epithelial cells and intraepithelial lymphocytes at the mucosal epithelium, contributing an immunological barrier as a first line of defence against mucosal infection [S1]. The target is also reported to play a role in embryonic stem cell proliferation and differentiation, and to up-regulate the expression of FABP5, MYC and cyclins A and E [S1].
