Mouse Epididymal-specific lipocalin-12 (Lcn12) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed to measure LCN12 levels in mouse research samples. The assay targets epididymal-specific lipocalin-12 (LCN12), a secreted monomeric protein belonging to the lipocalin family (calycin superfamily) that binds all-trans retinoic acid and may act as a retinoid carrier protein within the epididymis, with potential implications for male fertility. The protein has a reported molecular weight of 22,341 Da and is catalogued under UniProt entry Q6JVL5 and NCBI Gene ID 77701.

Validated for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, the assay shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse LCN12. Detection is performed by colorimetric ELISA with a microplate reader at 450 nm, with a detection range of 0.625–40 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.321 ng/mL.
