Mouse Ephrin-A1 (Efna1) ELISA Kit

A colourimetric sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie has been developed for the quantification of Ephrin-A1 (Efna1) levels in mouse samples, including serum and plasma. The manufacturer also validates cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples for use with the assay.

Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Ephrin-A1 is described as a key protein in cell signaling and regulation, contributing to development, tissue patterning, and neuronal connectivity, with dysregulation linked to cancer, neurological disorders, and inflammatory conditions.

The procedure covers reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation of standards and samples at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance read at 450 nm. Sample preparation guidance includes clotting blood and centrifuging at 1000 × g for 20 minutes for serum, using anticoagulant tubes and centrifuging at 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C for plasma, homogenising tissue in PBS with protease inhibitors, centrifuging cell culture supernatant at 2500 rpm for 5 minutes, and lysing cells with lysis buffer containing protease inhibitors for cell lysates.
