Autotaxin, also known as ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase 2 (ENPP2), is a key enzyme involved in the production of lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), a signaling molecule with diverse biological functions. Linearity testing across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5) yielded values within 81-103% at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions. Recovery testing showed average values of 92% for serum, 92% for EDTA plasma, and 93% for heparin plasma. Autotaxin has been implicated in inflammation, cancer metastasis, and fibrosis, and accurate quantification in mouse samples can support the development of therapeutic strategies targeting these conditions.
