Mouse Endothelin-1 (Edn1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Endothelin-1 (EDN1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Endothelin-1 is an endothelium-derived vasoconstrictor peptide that plays a key role in the regulation of vascular tone, with abnormal levels implicated in cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases.

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Endothelin-1. According to the manufacturer, the kit has a detection range of 7.8–500 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 4.21 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.8% and an inter-assay CV of 8.7%. It is intended for research use only.

Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery in serum averages 86% (range 80–92%), while in plasma it averages 88% (range 82–94%).
