Mouse Endophilin-A2 (Sh3gl1) ELISA Kit

This sandwich-format enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse endophilin A2 (SH3GL1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, and is also compatible with saliva, urine, and related tissue samples. The assay uses microplate wells pre-coated with antibodies specific to mouse endophilin A2, paired with a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-HRP conjugate, with the enzyme-substrate reaction terminated by a sulphuric acid solution and optical density measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.437ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 6.4% and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant mouse endophilin-A2. Endophilin A2 (SH3GL1), also known by the synonyms Endophilin-2, SH3 domain protein 2B, SH3 domain-containing GRB2-like protein 1, SH3p8, and Sh3d2b, is implicated in endocytosis and may recruit other proteins to membranes with high curvature. The protein is associated with the cytoplasm, early endosome membrane, peripheral membrane, cell projections, and podosomes, and dysregulation has been linked in the literature to neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.
