Mouse Elongation factor G, mitochondrial (Gfm1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Elongation factor G, mitochondrial (Gfm1). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatates and other biological fluids, with specificity for both natural and recombinant mouse Gfm1.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 40.1 pg/mL, with intra-assay CV of 7.0% and inter-assay CV of 9.6%. Linearity has been established across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, and recovery averages 81% for serum (range 80-87%) and 83% for plasma (range 80-89%). According to the UniProt entry Q8K0D5 cited by the manufacturer, GFM1 functions as a mitochondrial GTPase that catalyzes the GTP-dependent ribosomal translocation step during translation elongation, moving the ribosome from the pre-translocational to the post-translocational state.
