Mouse EG-VEGF, also called Prokineticin-1 and encoded by the Prok1 gene, is a tissue-selective angiogenic factor distinct from canonical VEGF that drives microvascular remodelling in steroidogenic endocrine tissues such as the corpus luteum, placenta, and adrenal cortex. This Assay Genie quantitative immunoassay is calibrated against recombinant mouse Prokineticin-1 and is widely used in reproductive, pregnancy, and ovarian research, where circulating Prok1 levels have been investigated as biomarkers of corpus luteum function and implantation biology.

For this kit, the standard curve covers a detection range of 15.6 pg/mL to 1000 pg/mL, with an assay sensitivity below 5.4 pg/mL. Researchers typically load 50 uL of undiluted serum, plasma, or tissue-culture supernatant per well into the pre-coated microplate, incubate the plate at room temperature, and read absorbance on a standard plate reader after stopping the colour reaction.
