Mouse Dystrophin (Dmd) ELISA Kit

According to the manufacturer specification sheet, the assay reports a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, an intra-assay precision of 6.2% CV and an inter-assay precision of 7.7% CV. Linearity is reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery averages are 91% (range 85–97%) for serum and 93% (range 87–99%) for plasma. Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Dystrophin and reactivity for mouse.

Dystrophin is described as a large rod-like cytoskeletal protein present at the inner surface of skeletal and cardiac muscle fibres. It anchors the extracellular matrix to the cytoskeleton via F-actin and acts as a ligand for dystroglycan, forming part of the dystrophin-associated glycoprotein complex that accumulates at the sarcolemma and at neuromuscular junctions.
