The DYRK1A protein kinase is a dual-specificity enzyme that phosphorylates serine, threonine, and tyrosine residues, and it maps within the Down syndrome critical region on chromosome 21. It is widely studied for its roles in neuronal differentiation, synaptic plasticity, and cell cycle exit, with altered DYRK1A signaling investigated in models of Down syndrome, Alzheimer's disease, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. This Assay Genie immunoassay is configured for quantitative measurement of mouse DYRK1A in tissue homogenates and similar biological samples, running on a 96-assay microplate intended for research use only. The assay yields a colorimetric readout evaluated against a standard curve, and kit components should be refrigerated on arrival to preserve reagent activity.
