Description

From Assay Genie, this sandwich-format ELISA kit enables quantitative detection of mouse MAP2K6 (Dual Specificity Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Kinase 6) across serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric method and showing reactivity specifically with mouse samples.

The assay delivers a detection range of 0.156–10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.093ng/mL, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse MAP2K6. MAP2K6 is a dual specificity protein kinase of the STE7 family (synonyms: MAPK/ERK kinase 6, SAPKK3, MEK 6, MAP kinase kinase 6, Prkmk6, Sapkk3; UniProt ID P70236) that functions as an essential component of the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway, catalysing the concomitant phosphorylation of a threonine and a tyrosine residue in the p38 MAP kinases MAPK11, MAPK12, MAPK13 and MAPK14.

MAP2K6 plays an important role in the regulation of cellular responses to cytokines and stress, contributes to osteoclast differentiation through NF-kappa-B transactivation by TNFSF11, and mediates apoptotic cell death in thymocytes. The kit is intended for research use only and is suited to cancer research applications.
