Description

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of mouse Dual specificity mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 1 (MAP2K1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for research use only.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.059ng/mL, and it specifically recognises natural and recombinant mouse MAP2K1. Manufacturer-validated linearity in mouse serum (N=5) is 100-108% at 1:2, 103-111% at 1:4, 104-114% at 1:8, and 103-113% at 1:16; in EDTA plasma, 92-102%, 96-109%, 109-118%, and 84-84%; and in heparin plasma, 93-102%, 109-119%, 106-118%, and 96-107%.

MAP2K1, also known as MEK1, acts as an essential component of the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway by phosphorylating MAPK3/ERK1 and MAPK1/ERK2 within the MAPK/ERK cascade, a pathway that regulates processes including cell growth, adhesion, survival, and differentiation. Dysregulation of MAP2K1 has been implicated in cancer, inflammatory disorders, and cardiovascular diseases, supporting research applications in cancer biology and signalling pathway studies (UniProt: P31938).
