Mouse DNA topoisomerase 2-beta (Top2b) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse DNA topoisomerase 2-beta (Top2b), also referred to as DNA topoisomerase II, beta isozyme. TOP2B is described as a vital enzyme involved in DNA regulation, with key roles in DNA replication, transcription, and chromosome structure. Dysregulation of TOP2B has been linked to cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and developmental abnormalities. The kit is positioned within the epigenetics research area.

The assay provides a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.167 ng/mL. Intra-assay coefficient of variation is 5.4% and inter-assay variation is 7.8%. Linearity has been evaluated across serial dilutions using serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples. Recovery rates are reported at 108% for serum (102–114%) and 110% for plasma (104–116%). The reagents provide specificity for natural and recombinant mouse DNA topoisomerase 2-beta. The target protein functions in the control of topological states of DNA by transient breakage and subsequent rejoining of DNA strands, with topoisomerase II making double-strand breaks.
