DNMT1 (DNA Methyltransferase 1) is the principal maintenance methyltransferase responsible for copying CpG methylation patterns from parent to daughter strands during DNA replication, making this protein a central target in epigenetics, gene regulation, and cancer biology research. The Assay Genie Mouse DNMT1 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of DNMT1 protein levels in mouse-derived samples, supporting studies of DNA methylation dynamics, X-inactivation, genomic imprinting, and tumor suppressor silencing.

Compatible sample matrices include tissue homogenates prepared from mouse organs such as liver, brain, and spleen, as well as cell culture lysates and clarified supernatant fractions. The mouse-specific capture antibody shows no significant cross-reactivity with the rat or human DNMT1 orthologs, ensuring reliable species-specific quantitation. The assay is supplied as a complete kit with pre-coated microplate wells, lyophilized standards, detection antibody, and substrate reagents sufficient for 96 determinations, with a small sample volume of approximately 10 µL added per well.

Researchers should store the kit refrigerated at 4 °C, allow all reagents to equilibrate to room temperature before use, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the standard and antibody vials to preserve performance. This colorimetric, in vitro immunoassay is intended for research use only and integrates easily into workflows involving western blot validation, qPCR gene expression analysis, or bisulfite sequencing follow-up studies of DNA methylation patterns.
