Mouse DNA excision repair protein ERCC-1 (Ercc1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse DNA excision repair protein ERCC-1 (Ercc1). The assay is reactive with mouse samples and is supplied for research use only. It detects both natural and recombinant mouse ERCC1, with a detection range of 39-2500pg/mL and a sensitivity of 19.9pg/mL.

ERCC1 is a non-catalytic component of a structure-specific DNA repair endonuclease responsible for the 5'-incision during DNA repair. Together with SLX4, it carries out the first step in the repair of interstrand cross-links (ICL), participates in processing anaphase bridge-generating DNA structures that arise during S or G2 phase, and is required for homology-directed repair (HDR) of DNA double-strand breaks. The protein forms a heterodimer with XPF/ERRC4 and is localised to the nucleus.

The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is applicable to cancer research and broader studies of DNA repair mechanisms.
