Mouse Divalent Metal Transporter 1 (DMT1) ELISA Kit

DMT1 is a proton-coupled transmembrane transporter responsible for cellular uptake of Fe2+ and other divalent metal ions, with central roles in intestinal iron absorption, erythroid iron assimilation, and hepatic iron handling. Loss-of-function mutations in the SLC11A2 gene underlie rare microcytic anemia phenotypes, and altered DMT1 expression is studied in models of neurodegeneration, iron overload disorders, and metal toxicity.

The kit is calibrated for use with tissue homogenates and cell lysates prepared from mouse specimens, and it employs a colorimetric read-out compatible with standard microplate readers.
