Mouse Disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 12 (Adam12) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantitative detection of mouse Disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 12 (Adam12), also known as Meltrin-alpha. The colorimetric assay is designed for mouse samples and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids as sample matrices. Specificity is directed against natural and recombinant mouse Adam12 (UniProt Q61824), a single-pass type I membrane protein with a reported molecular weight of 98,504 Da that participates in skeletal muscle regeneration at the onset of cell fusion, as well as in the formation of macrophage-derived giant cells and osteoclasts from mononuclear precursors.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.46ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is given as 7.3% CV and inter-assay precision as 9.0% CV. Spike-and-recovery values are 103% (range 97-109%) for serum and 105% (range 99-111%) for plasma. Linearity in serum spans 84-94% at 1:2, 100-108% at 1:4, 107-116% at 1:8 and 92-102% at 1:16; corresponding EDTA plasma values are 104-114%, 94-103%, 84-93% and 88-97%, and heparin plasma values are 96-105%, 91-101%, 91-101% and 95-106%.
