Dihydrolipoyl Dehydrogenase (DLD) is a mitochondrial flavoprotein (~50 kDa) that serves as the E3 subunit of the pyruvate dehydrogenase, α-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase, and branched-chain α-ketoacid dehydrogenase multi-enzyme complexes. By reoxidizing dihydrolipoamide with NAD+ as the electron acceptor, DLD links the citric acid cycle to mitochondrial NADH production and ATP generation. The Assay Genie mouse DLD ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of DLD protein in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and cell lysates, supporting research on mitochondrial bioenergetics, oxidative metabolism, and E3-deficiency-related metabolic disease. The protocol uses a 50 uL sample volume and is calibrated specifically for mouse DLD detection. For research use only.
