Mouse Desmoglein-3 (Dsg3) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Desmoglein-3 (Dsg3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Desmoglein-3 is a single-pass type I membrane protein of the cadherin family that forms an integral transmembrane component of desmosomes, the multiprotein complexes involved in cell-cell adhesion and organization of the cytoskeleton. Also known as the 130 kDa pemphigus vulgaris antigen homolog, the protein is localised to cell junctions and the plasma membrane, and its dysregulation is implicated in autoimmune conditions such as pemphigus vulgaris.

The assay uses ELISA detection with a measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.8% and an inter-assay CV of 7.6%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with recovery averaging 93% (range 87–99%) in serum and 95% (range 89–101%) in plasma. The kit recognises natural and recombinant mouse Desmoglein-3 and is intended for research use only, supporting studies within the signal transduction research area.
