Mouse Desmoglein-2 (Dsg2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Desmoglein-2 (Dsg2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and reacts specifically with natural and recombinant mouse Desmoglein-2, a transmembrane component of desmosomes that mediates cell-cell adhesion in epithelial tissues.

The kit delivers a detection range of 31.2–2000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 15.76 pg/mL. Reproducibility is supported by an intra-assay CV of 6.9% and an inter-assay CV of 8.8%. Linearity has been validated in serum (107–117%, 106–116%, 103–113%, 88–98% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (117–127%, 108–117%, 102–114%, 85–95%) and heparin plasma (90–99%, 103–115%, 111–121%, 99–110%). Recovery averages 102% (range 96–108%) for serum and 104% (range 98–110%) for plasma.

Desmoglein-2 is a single-pass type I membrane protein located at desmosomes and cell junctions, with research relevance to signal transduction and to disorders linked to DSG2 dysregulation, including autoimmune conditions and cardiomyopathies such as familial arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia. The kit is intended for research use only.
