Mouse Desert hedgehog protein (Dhh) ELISA Kit

This colorimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantification of Desert Hedgehog protein (DHH) levels in mouse samples. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and recognises both natural and recombinant mouse DHH. The assay is intended for research applications in developmental biology.

Performance characteristics quoted by the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.088 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.3%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Spiked recovery is reported at 92% for serum (86–98%) and 94% for plasma (88–100%), with linearity demonstrated across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. The kit is associated with UniProt accession Q61488 for the target protein.

DHH is described as an intercellular signal essential for a variety of patterning events during development, with proposed roles as a spermatocyte survival factor in the testes and as essential for testes development. Reported protein–protein interactions include BOC, CDON, and HHIP, and the protein is secreted to the extracellular space as a C-terminal product. For research use only.
