Assay Genie provides this competitive ELISA kit for the precise quantification of mouse delta(3,5)-delta(2,4)-dienoyl-CoA isomerase (mitochondrial Ech1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Ech1, an enzyme that catalyses the isomerization of 3-trans,5-cis-dienoyl-CoA to 2-trans,4-trans-dienoyl-CoA within fatty acid beta-oxidation.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.391ng/mL, intra-assay CV of 6.8% and inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Spike-and-recovery averages 90% (range 84-96%) in serum and 92% (range 86-98%) in plasma. The target is described as a homohexamer localised to the mitochondrion and peroxisome (UniProt O35459).
