Mouse Deiodinase, Iodothyronine, Type III (DIO3) ELISA Kit

A quantitative colorimetric immunoassay from Assay Genie for measuring mouse Deiodinase, Iodothyronine, Type III (DIO3) in tissue homogenates. DIO3 is a selenocysteine-containing enzyme that terminates thyroid hormone signaling by converting thyroxine (T4) to reverse triiodothyronine (rT3) and by inactivating 3,3',5-triiodothyronine (T3) to 3,3'-diiodothyronine (T2). Mouse tissues that depend on tight local control of thyroid hormone availability—placenta, developing brain, uterus, and several endocrine organs—express DIO3 at high levels, making it a frequent target in studies of maternal-fetal physiology, neurodevelopment, placental insufficiency models, and metabolic disease.

The kit is supplied as 96 assays, uses tissue homogenates as the primary specimen type, and produces a colorimetric readout suitable for standard microplate readers. It is intended for research use only and is reactive specifically with mouse samples. Reagents are configured for in vitro measurement, and the plate-based format allows straightforward processing of multiple biological replicates alongside a standard curve for interpolating unknown DIO3 concentrations.
