Description

Assay Genie supplies a sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of D-dopachrome decarboxylase (Ddt) in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant mouse D-dopachrome decarboxylase with a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.171ng/mL.

D-dopachrome decarboxylase, also known as D-dopachrome tautomerase, is an enzyme that plays a key role in melanin synthesis and is involved in biological processes related to pigmentation and immune response; dysregulation has been linked to skin disorders, autoimmune conditions, and cancer. Its function is the tautomerization of D-dopachrome with decarboxylation to give 5,6-dihydroxyindole (DHI). The protein is a homotrimer located in the cytoplasm, with a reported molecular weight of 13,077 Da (UniProt O35215; NCBI Gene ID 13202). For research use only.
