Designed by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of mouse Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte protein 4 (CTLA4) in mouse samples. The solid-phase immunoassay is suited to serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse CTLA4. Detection is colorimetric.

CTLA4 is an inhibitory receptor that acts as a major negative regulator of T-cell responses, suppressing T-cell activation. It binds the B7 family ligands CD80 and CD86 with considerably higher affinity than the stimulatory coreceptor CD28, and dysregulation of CTLA4 has been linked to autoimmune disorders, cancer and transplant rejection, making it a valuable biomarker in immunology and inflammation research.
