Mouse Cytochrome P450 1B1 (Cyp1b1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies this sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of mouse Cytochrome P450 1B1 (CYP1B1) in biological samples. For research use only, the assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Cytochrome P450 1B1 and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

The kit provides a detection range of 0.625-40ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.312ng/mL. Reported precision values include an intra-assay CV of 6.4% and an inter-assay CV of 9.0%. Spike-and-recovery data show an average of 80% for serum (range 80-86%) and 82% for plasma (range 80-88%). Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions yields recoveries of 100-110%, 89-99%, 92-102% and 96-106% in serum; 107-117%, 105-117%, 96-105% and 86-95% in EDTA plasma; and 92-103%, 96-104%, 102-111% and 94-103% in heparin plasma.

Cytochrome P450 1B1 is described as a monooxygenase involved in the metabolism of endogenous substrates such as fatty acids, steroid hormones and vitamins, and in the oxidative metabolism of xenobiotics including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Dysregulation of CYP1B1 has been associated with cancer, cardiovascular disorders and ocular disease, supporting its application within cardiovascular research.
