Mouse Cytochrome P450 11B1 (CYP11B1) ELISA Kit

This colorimetric plate-based assay from Assay Genie is calibrated to quantify mouse Cytochrome P450 11B1 levels in research specimens, with reagents supplied for up to 96 assays per kit. CYP11B1 encodes the steroid 11β-hydroxylase enzyme located in the inner mitochondrial membrane of adrenocortical cells, where it catalyzes the terminal step of glucocorticoid biosynthesis by converting 11-deoxycortisol to cortisol.

The kit supports studies of adrenal steroidogenesis, HPA axis regulation, and mouse models of congenital adrenal hyperplasia arising from 11β-hydroxylase deficiency. Acceptable specimen types include tissue homogenates prepared from adrenal glands and other steroidogenic organs, cell lysates from cultured adrenocortical cells, and clarified supernatant fractions from relevant experimental samples, providing flexibility across in vivo and in vitro research workflows.
