Mouse Cytochrome c oxidase subunit 4 isoform 1, mitochondrial (Cox4i1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of mouse Cytochrome c oxidase subunit 4 isoform 1, mitochondrial (Cox4i1). The assay covers a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.166 ng/mL, and reports intra-assay precision of 6.8% (CV) and inter-assay precision of 8.1% (CV). It is specific for natural and recombinant mouse COX4I1 and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Spiking recovery averages 94% for serum (range 88–100%) and 96% for plasma (range 90–102%).

COX4I1 — also known as Cytochrome c oxidase polypeptide IV, COX IV-1, Cox4 and Cox4a — is a nuclear-encoded subunit of cytochrome c oxidase, the terminal oxidase of the mitochondrial electron transport chain. It is anchored in the mitochondrion inner membrane (UniProt P19783; NCBI Gene ID 12857; molecular weight 19,530 Da). Dysregulation of COX4I1 has been associated with mitochondrial disorders and cancer, and monitoring its levels provides insights into mitochondrial function and cellular metabolism.
