Mouse Cystatin B ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the precise and reliable measurement of cystatin B levels in mouse samples, this sandwich ELISA uses a double antibody method with colorimetric detection. The kit is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is intended for research into cysteine protease inhibition, immune regulation, and cellular homeostasis.

Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions spans 88–101%, 96–104%, and 86–95% for serum (n = 5); 84–101%, 95–100%, and 82–99% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 83–100%, 83–99%, and 81–98% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Recovery averages are 97% for serum (range 88–103%), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 86–103%), and 93% for heparin plasma (range 85–101%). The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents, incubating standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, binding with a biotin-labelled detection antibody at 37°C for 60 minutes, incubating with HRP-Streptavidin at 37°C for 30 minutes, developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. Dysregulation of cystatin B has been implicated in cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
