Mouse Cystathionine gamma-lyase (Cth) ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Cystathionine gamma-lyase (Cth), also known as Cysteine-protein sulfhydrase or Gamma-cystathionase. The kit is intended for research use only and is reactive with mouse Cystathionine gamma-lyase, detecting natural and recombinant forms of the target.

The assay covers a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.398ng/mL, and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids as sample types. The target is localised to the cytoplasm and is relevant to cell biology research.

Cystathionine gamma-lyase catalyses the last step in the trans-sulfuration pathway from methionine to cysteine, converting cystathionine to cysteine, ammonia and 2-oxobutanoate, and also converts two cysteine molecules to lanthionine and hydrogen sulfide. By generating the endogenous signalling molecule hydrogen sulfide (H2S), the enzyme contributes to the regulation of blood pressure, while defects in CTH are associated with cystathioninuria (CSTNU).
