Mouse Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 activator 1 (Cdk5r1) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich colorimetric ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 activator 1 (Cdk5r1), a neuron-specific activator of CDK5 implicated in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, as well as in neuronal development and function. The kit detects CDK5R1, also known as p35, which contributes to neurite outgrowth, cortical lamination, and dendritic spine morphogenesis.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.092 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 7.9% and an inter-assay CV of 10.0%. It is reactive with mouse samples and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 activator 1. Reported linearity ranges from 85-98% to 104-114% for serum, 106-117% to 83-93% for EDTA plasma, and 109-119% to 83-92% for heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery is 89% (range 83-95%) for serum and 91% (range 85-97%) for plasma.

The target protein has a molecular weight of 34 kDa (UniProt P61809) and localizes to the nucleus, cytoplasm, and perinuclear region; conversion of p35 to p25 relocalizes the protein from the cell periphery to the cytoplasm and perinuclear regions. The kit is intended for research use only and includes a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample diluent, assay diluents A and B, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution, and plate sealer, with storage conditions specified per component.
