Mouse CXCL5, also called LIX in rodents, is an ELR-positive CXC chemokine that engages CXCR2 to drive neutrophil recruitment during acute inflammation. Researchers rely on the Assay Genie Mouse CXCL5 DIY ELISA Kit to quantify LIX concentrations in mouse models of LPS-induced acute lung injury, bacterial pneumonia, cecal ligation and puncture sepsis, dextran sulfate sodium colitis, and tumour angiogenesis, where chemokine levels in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, serum, or tumour homogenates correlate with neutrophil infiltration and disease severity. The DIY configuration provides capture antibody, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant standard, and streptavidin-HRP conjugate, letting laboratories coat their own microplates and run anywhere from a handful of wells up to ten plates. Reagents remain stable through repeated freeze-thaw cycles when aliquoted and stored at -20°C, and the protocol accommodates small-volume mouse samples of 50 uL per well, conserving scarce lavage and plasma specimens. This kit is supplied for research use only and is intended for in vitro measurement of mouse CXCL5 in experimental specimens.
