Mouse cPLA2/Phospholipase A2, Cytosolic ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a sandwich ELISA built on a double-antibody configuration for the quantitative detection of cytosolic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2) in mouse samples. The colorimetric workflow is read at 450 nm and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The assay targets cPLA2 (UniProt P47713), an enzyme involved in inflammation and lipid metabolism through the release of arachidonic acid from cellular membranes. Dysregulation of cPLA2 has been associated with cancer, cardiovascular disease, and inflammatory disorders, placing the kit within the metabolism research area. Spiking recovery across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma is between 85-104%, and linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions falls within 80-103%.

The protocol uses TMB substrate with HRP-Streptavidin and a biotin-labeled detection antibody. Plates are incubated at 37°C, with a 90-minute primary incubation, a 60-minute detection antibody step and a 30-minute HRP-streptavidin step, followed by colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C and remain stable for 12 months.
