Mouse CORS26/C1QTNF3 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich, double-antibody ELISA for the quantitative measurement of C1qtnf3 (also called CTRP3 and CORS26) in mouse serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, and the assay is intended for research use, including studies of metabolism and related disorders.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Linearity for serum (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is 86–95%, 88–103%, and 86–105% respectively; EDTA plasma (n=5) shows 83–97%, 86–93%, and 82–101%; and heparin plasma (n=5) shows 80–100%, 85–97%, and 87–99%. Spike-and-recovery values are 85–104% (96% average) for serum, 86–104% (94% average) for EDTA plasma, and 91–105% (97% average) for heparin plasma. Absorbance is read at 450 nm, and components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

C1qtnf3 is a member of the C1q/TNF-related protein family and is described in manufacturer materials as a regulator of glucose and lipid metabolism, energy homeostasis, and insulin sensitivity. Abnormal C1qtnf3 levels have been associated with metabolic disorders such as obesity and diabetes, supporting its use as a potential biomarker. The associated UniProt identifier is Q9ES30.
