Mouse Contactin-1 (Cntn1) ELISA Kit

The kit is reactive with mouse samples and validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids, detecting natural and recombinant mouse Contactin-1 with colorimetric readout.

Manufacturer-reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.09 ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 6.5% and inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Contactin-1 is a GPI-anchored neuronal cell-surface protein (UniProt P12960; reported molecular weight 113,388 Da) that mediates cell-surface interactions during nervous system development, contributes to the formation of paranodal axo-glial junctions in myelinated peripheral nerves, and acts as a NOTCH1 ligand in oligodendrocyte generation. Dysregulation has been linked to neurological disorders including autism and schizophrenia, making the protein a useful biomarker for related research. The kit is for research use only.
