Mouse Complement factor B (Cfb) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse complement factor B (Cfb). The assay accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant mouse complement factor B with a reported sensitivity of 39.8 pg/mL across a detection range of 78–5000 pg/mL. Reported intra-assay precision is 6.9% CV and inter-assay precision is 8.8% CV.

Complement factor B is a key component of the alternative pathway of the complement system, where it is cleaved by factor D into the Ba and Bb fragments; Bb is a serine protease that combines with complement factor 3b to generate the C3 or C5 convertase. Dysregulation of complement factor B has been implicated in various autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, supporting its use as a biomarker in immunology research.
