Mouse Complement component C8 gamma chain (C8g) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Complement component C8 gamma chain (C8g) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with mouse samples, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse C8g. C8g is a secreted constituent of the membrane attack complex; it binds to the C5B-7 complex to form C5B-8, which then catalyses polymerisation of C9, and the gamma subunit has been reported to bind retinol. C8 is composed of three chains (alpha, beta and gamma), with the alpha and gamma chains disulfide bonded.

The kit has a reported detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 38 pg/mL. The target protein (UniProt Q8VCG4) has a molecular weight of 22,508 Da. For research use only.
