Mouse Complement Component 4a/C4a ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise quantification of mouse Complement Component 4a (C4a), this sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie delivers accurate and reproducible results across a range of research applications. C4a is a key component of the complement system, supporting the immune response by enhancing the ability of antibodies and phagocytic cells to clear pathogens. Dysregulation of the complement system, including C4a, has been implicated in various inflammatory and autoimmune disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions and potential therapeutic interventions.

The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection. Sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL and the assay covers a range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Recovery performance was assessed across three sample matrices: serum (n = 5) showed a recovery range of 86–96% with an average of 92%; EDTA plasma (n = 5) showed 85–100% with an average of 95%; and heparin plasma (n = 5) showed 85–103% with an average of 94%. The standard protocol involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards and samples, incubating the plate at 37°C for antigen binding, adding biotin-labeled detection antibody followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC), developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
